About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max bar stool features purple leather upholstery set within a sleek, black metal frame with integrated armrests. This bar stool presents a refined silhouette defined by its slender, dark metal frame and deep purple leather upholstery. The piece features a square, padded seat and a vertical backrest, both finished in a smooth, vibrant purple leather. The frame is constructed from thin, black metal tubing, forming a stable base with a footrest and four vertical supports that extend upwards to terminate in decorative finial-style caps. The integrated armrests follow the clean lines of the frame, providing a cohesive aesthetic that balances minimalist structure with a bold, saturated colour palette.

The download is an 11.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the frame and upholstery components. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base for accurate placement on floor planes. Materials are assigned as separate multi-sub-object IDs, enabling quick adjustments to the leather sheen or the metal's glossiness. When integrating into a scene, apply a standard floor-contact shadow to ground the stool, and utilise light maps to highlight the subtle texture of the leather cushions.

Ideal for high-end residential interiors, this bar stool works well in kitchen islands, breakfast bars, or home bars. It also suits boutique hotel lounges and commercial cafe settings where a touch of colour is required. Designers often pair this piece with dark stone or marble countertops to create a striking visual contrast.
