About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features an olive velvet upholstery, a dark wood frame, and a draped fabric throw blanket. This lounge chair presents a low-profile, curved silhouette designed for comfort and aesthetic appeal. The seat and rounded backrest are upholstered in a soft olive-toned velvet, providing a tactile, matte finish. A dark-stained wooden shell wraps around the rear of the seat, creating a structural contrast against the fabric. The chair is supported by a slender, minimalist black metal swivel base with four radiating legs. Included in the set is a textured grey fabric throw, draped casually over the backrest to add a layer of natural, lived-in detail to the model.

The download is a 17.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a scene. Users should check the pivot point at the base to ensure correct rotation if using the swivel functionality. Materials are mapped using standard coordinates, and the velvet shader can be adjusted via the material editor to control the sheen and reflection intensity depending on the desired lighting environment and camera exposure settings.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or high-end reading nooks, this lounge chair serves as a sophisticated accent piece. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for smaller lounge areas or as part of a larger seating arrangement in modern interiors. Designers often pair this piece with neutral rugs, low-profile coffee tables, and floor lamps to complete a relaxed, curated look.
