Contemporary Off-White Fabric Curved Shell-Back Sofa

This contemporary 3-seater sofa is a SketchUp model featuring an off-white fabric finish and a distinctive curved shell-back design. Defined by its elegant, sweeping silhouette, this 3-seater sofa features a pronounced fan-like, shell-back design with vertical channel stitching that radiates from the seat base. The upholstery is a clean, off-white fabric, complemented by a low-profile frame that curves gently to form integrated armrests. The piece is supported by discreet, tapered legs in a matching tone, maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. Its proportions are generous yet refined, making it a focal point for sophisticated interiors. The model captures the soft, organic lines of the furniture, highlighting the subtle depth created by the vertical quilting.

The download is a 9.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, insert this component directly into your model space using the import tool. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement against curved or straight walls. You can apply custom materials or textures to the fabric surface using the paint bucket tool if specific finishes are required for your render. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to manage model visibility efficiently, and use the scale tool if minor adjustments are needed to fit specific project dimensions.

This sofa is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or luxury waiting areas where a statement piece is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and brass-accented lighting fixtures to enhance its contemporary appeal. Designers often search for curved seating or shell-back furniture to break up the rigid geometry of modern floor plans. It serves as an ideal anchor for conversation areas, providing both comfort and visual interest in refined, light-filled interior design schemes.
