About this asset

This contemporary work desk set for SketchUp features a natural wood desk with a drawer pedestal, paired with a blue upholstered chair. This workspace set comprises a rectangular work desk and a matching upholstered chair. The desk features a thick, light-toned wood grain top supported by a solid three-drawer pedestal on one side and a slim, black metal frame on the other, creating a clean, asymmetrical profile. The drawers are integrated flush into the pedestal. The included chair has a slender dark frame and is upholstered in a deep blue fabric, providing a soft contrast to the timber surfaces. The set is presented with a minimalist aesthetic, suitable for modern interior design schemes.

The download is a 26.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp model, import the file as a component to maintain layer organisation. The model is scaled for standard ergonomic heights, but verify alignment with floor levels upon insertion. Apply custom textures if the default wood grain requires specific grain orientation adjustments. Use the native tagging system to group the desk and chair, facilitating easy placement and rotation within your workspace scenes. Lighting can be balanced by adjusting the material emissives or using an external render plugin.

Ideal for residential home offices, corporate breakout areas, or executive suites, this set provides a polished look for architectural visualisations. It pairs effectively with contemporary shelving, task lighting, and neutral wall palettes. Architects and interior designers might search for this when specifying furniture for productivity zones or staging luxury apartments. The clean lines and functional storage make it a versatile choice for any professional environment requiring a compact yet sophisticated desk solution. It is equally suited for high-end commercial projects or minimalist home interiors.
