Contemporary Natural Wood Slatted Sliding Door Cabinet

This contemporary 3ds Max cabinet features slatted sliding doors and a natural wood finish, offering refined storage for interiors. Constructed with a clean-lined rectangular frame, this cabinet features two sliding doors detailed with vertical timber slats that create a rhythmic, textured facade. The unit is elevated on tapered, angled legs, lending it a light, mid-century inspired profile. Finished in a warm, natural wood grain, the piece provides a balanced aesthetic suitable for modern living spaces. The internal structure is concealed by the sliding mechanism, which allows for efficient access without requiring clearance in front of the unit. Its proportions make it an ideal choice for compact storage solutions where visual interest is required.

The download is a 13.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation of the sliding door components. Users can apply custom wood material shaders to the existing UV maps to match specific project finishes. The model is scaled to real-world dimensions, allowing for seamless insertion into interior scenes. It is recommended to use standard lighting setups to highlight the depth and shadow play created by the slatted door design, ensuring the texture remains crisp in final renders.

This cabinet is well-suited for residential applications, particularly in living rooms as a media console or in dining rooms as a sideboard. It functions effectively in bedrooms as a low-profile storage unit or in home offices for organising documents. Designers often pair this piece with minimalist furniture to create a warm, tactile focal point. Search for this item when specifying storage solutions that combine functional utility with a natural, organic aesthetic, or when looking for slatted timber elements to add architectural depth.
