About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max reception desk scene features a parametric slatted natural wood counter set against a dark concrete backdrop. The assembly comprises a substantial reception counter defined by a series of vertical, rhythmic timber slats that create a flowing, organic silhouette. Behind this, a feature wall finished in dark, modular concrete panels provides a grounding contrast. A central vertical garden strip integrates living greenery into the structure, softened by a series of suspended globe pendant lights. The clean, minimalist geometry of the desk is complemented by the textured depth of the planting and the matte finish of the wall panels, offering a sophisticated focal point for a commercial lobby or corporate entrance area.

The download is an 11.2 MB file containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with distinct layers for the desk geometry, the vegetation, and the backdrop components, allowing for efficient material adjustments or lighting tweaks. Users should ensure the scene scale is verified against project requirements before merging. The slatted wood texture can be mapped using standard UVW modifiers to maintain alignment, while the green wall assets are best handled as proxy objects to manage viewport performance when populating larger architectural scenes or interior visualisations.

This reception desk setup is ideal for high-end corporate offices, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern commercial retail spaces. It works effectively in projects focusing on biophilic design, where natural elements like timber and indoor plants are required to create a welcoming atmosphere. Designers searching for professional-grade lobby furniture, modern office workstations, or feature wall concepts will find this asset versatile for rendering high-quality interior views, particularly when paired with contemporary seating or minimalist flooring materials to complete the professional aesthetic.
