About this asset

This 3ds Max armchair features a natural wood frame with rope-bound spindle details, finished with a crisp white seat and back cushion. Defined by its airy, spindle-back construction, this armchair balances organic textures with clean, modern lines. The frame is crafted from light-toned natural wood, with structural joints reinforced by decorative rope wrappings that add a tactile, artisanal quality to the silhouette. A simple, square seat cushion and a matching back cushion, both upholstered in a neutral off-white fabric, provide comfort. The chair sits on four tapered legs, with a subtle curved apron connecting the base, offering a light, approachable aesthetic suitable for various interior schemes requiring a soft, natural accent piece.

The download is an 18.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the frame and cushion components. Users should apply a simple UVW map to the wood textures to ensure consistent grain direction. The fabric materials are assigned as independent sub-materials, enabling quick adjustments to colour or texture mapping. For optimal integration into a scene, place the chair using snapping tools to align the leg base with the floor plane, ensuring correct contact points for realistic shadow generation.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, sunrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies where a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, jute rugs, or indoor potted plants to create a cohesive, light-filled seating area. Designers searching for organic-modern seating, wood-framed accent chairs, or spindle-back lounge furniture will find this piece a versatile addition to their libraries for both concept stage visualisations and final interior renders in residential or hospitality projects.
