Contemporary Mixed Material Reading Nook Scene

This contemporary reading nook scene for SketchUp features a diverse collection of lounge chairs, side tables, and decor elements. The scene comprises four distinct vignettes showcasing varied seating and surface combinations. It includes a wingback-style leather lounge chair, a minimalist grey fabric armchair, a compact low-profile bench, and assorted side tables ranging from wire-base designs to marble-topped pedestals. Lighting elements, including a floor lamp and wall-mounted sconce, complement the furniture. The material palette balances warm brown leather with cool grey upholstery, supported by black powder-coated steel and polished metal accents. The collection is designed for flexible interior staging, offering a range of textures and forms that suit modern living spaces.

The download is a 32.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can import this SketchUp file directly into their master project model to populate residential zones or hospitality suites. The assets are organised into distinct groups, allowing for the easy extraction of individual pieces or the entire scene. To optimise render performance, ensure textures are correctly mapped within your preferred engine, and adjust the layer visibility to isolate specific furniture items as needed for your composition. Scaling is set to real-world units, maintaining correct proportions relative to standard architectural interior heights.
