About this asset

This contemporary L-shaped sectional sofa for 3ds Max features light grey fabric upholstery and a chaise with integrated side table. Designed for modern open-plan living, this L-shaped sectional sofa offers a clean-lined, modular aesthetic with deep seating and a low-profile frame. The upholstery is a neutral light grey fabric, complemented by an assortment of scatter cushions in contrasting black, brown, and white tones. A functional extension of the sofa includes a black integrated side table at the end of the chaise, providing a convenient surface for books or small decor items. The assembly includes a draped throw blanket on the chaise, adding a layer of visual texture to the overall composition.

The download is a 35.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Use the layer manager to isolate the sofa from the cushions and accessories for easier material adjustments or geometry modifications. The fabric textures are mapped for realistic light interaction; however, you may need to adjust the UVW tiling if scaling the model significantly. Apply high-quality lighting setups to highlight the depth and soft shadows created by the cushions and blanket.

Ideal for residential living rooms, expansive penthouses, or high-end hotel lounges, this sectional provides a versatile footprint for large gathering spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, low-profile media units, and large-format area rugs. Interior designers and visualisers often search for this type of modular seating when planning contemporary floor plates that require a balance of comfort and structured design. It is particularly suited for staging luxury residential projects where a sophisticated, neutral palette serves as the base for layered interior styling.
