About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp lounge chair features a light blue fabric shell, a cream-coloured seat cushion, and a black metal swivel base. This lounge chair presents a sleek, organic silhouette defined by a curved, high-back shell upholstered in a textured light blue fabric. The internal seating area is softened by a matching cream-coloured seat cushion and a small, square scatter cushion for lumbar support. The entire structure is supported by a four-legged black metal base, providing a stable foundation with a swivel function. The proportions are balanced, blending comfort with a minimalist aesthetic, making it an ideal accent piece for modern interiors requiring refined, functional seating solutions that do not compromise on visual appeal.

The download is a 5.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for easy manipulation. Users can apply custom materials to the fabric and metal surfaces using the paint bucket tool to match specific project palettes. The swivel base is a separate component, allowing for easy rotation or replacement if a different base style is required. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to maintain scene organisation, and use standard scaling tools if adjustments to the seat height are necessary for specific ergonomic requirements.

This versatile lounge chair is suitable for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and executive office reception areas. It functions well as a singular statement piece or arranged in pairs to create a focused conversation zone. Designers often search for this type of accent chair when specifying furniture for contemporary interiors, luxury suites, or modern home offices. It pairs effortlessly with minimalist coffee tables and neutral area rugs, providing a pop of colour while maintaining a clean, professional look throughout a variety of project stages.
