Contemporary Houndstooth Fabric and Charcoal Upholstered Armchair

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a distinctive houndstooth patterned fabric seat and a contrasting charcoal-upholstered frame. Defined by its compact, rounded silhouette, this armchair balances a textured houndstooth seat and back cushion with a solid charcoal-toned exterior frame. The curved backrest wraps around the user, providing a supportive and enclosed seating experience. It sits on a slim, metallic base finished in a dark bronze or deep grey tone, which elevates the seat slightly above the floor. The proportions are intimate, making it suitable for smaller lounge areas or as a singular focal point in a master suite, pairing clean geometric patterns with soft, organic curves for visual interest.

The download is a 26.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object is placed at the correct floor level using the snap-to-grid function. The materials are pre-configured as separate sub-object elements, allowing for easy adjustment of UV mapping on the houndstooth fabric to ensure pattern continuity across the curved cushions. Use standard lighting setups or HDRI environments to accurately capture the subtle sheen of the dark metal legs, ensuring that the light interaction with the fabric texture remains realistic within your final rendered output.

This armchair is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern executive offices where a compact, stylish seating solution is required. It works effectively as an accent piece in a reading corner or as part of a larger conversation group when paired with minimalist coffee tables. Professionals searching for a sophisticated lounge chair with a classic pattern update will find this asset versatile for various interior design styles, including contemporary, transitional, or eclectic schemes requiring a strong graphic element.
