Contemporary Grey Wood and Metal Display Bookcase

This contemporary SketchUp bookcase features a structural metal frame with gold accents and grey wood shelves for organized display. This large-scale display bookcase is defined by a rigid, industrial-inspired metal frame finished in matte black with striking gold-toned joint connectors. The unit provides five horizontal storage tiers, each constructed from wood with a textured, grey-toned finish. The open-back design enhances its airy, architectural profile, making it suitable for both wall-mounted or freestanding applications. Integrated shelving provides ample surface area for decor, books, and curated objects. The overall construction is clean and linear, balancing a robust structural aesthetic with refined material contrasts between the dark metal skeleton and the muted, naturalistic wood shelves.

The download is a 38.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured as a collection of components, allowing for easy selection of the frame and shelves independently. Users can adjust the overall height or width by scaling the component groups while maintaining the integrity of the metal joints. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily swapped or adjusted in the material editor to match specific project lighting or colour palettes. The model is optimized for quick insertion into architectural scenes, requiring minimal adjustment to align with existing floor and wall planes.
