About this asset

This contemporary grey velvet wingback armchair for 3ds Max features a distinctive high-back profile with an integrated headrest. Defined by its pronounced wings and angular silhouette, this contemporary armchair offers a sophisticated aesthetic for modern interiors. The design includes a full-height backrest with a dedicated horizontal headrest cushion and a plush seat pad, all upholstered in a uniform grey velvet fabric. The structural integrity is provided by a slender metal frame, featuring tapered legs that provide a light, elevated appearance. The proportions are generous, intended for focused lounging or reading, while the clean lines ensure it remains a versatile piece that complements various room scales and interior design styles.

The download is a 3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into 3ds Max, merge the file into your scene and ensure the unit scale is consistent with your project requirements. The model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for efficient management of the geometry and materials. Users should apply or refine the material maps within their chosen render engine to achieve the desired velvet sheen. The pivot point is positioned at the base of the legs, simplifying placement on floor surfaces or rugs within your architectural visualisation.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in a home office. It pairs seamlessly with minimalist side tables or as a focal point in a seating group alongside larger sofas. Professionals searching for accent seating, high-back lounge chairs, or statement furniture will find this model useful for creating realistic interior scenes. Its neutral grey palette allows it to blend into both monochromatic schemes and spaces with bolder colour accents or textured wall finishes.
