About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic overcast lighting for exterior architectural visualizations. Captured at a suburban soccer park, this environment map features a wide, open field of grass surrounded by perimeter walls and residential housing in the distance. The lighting is dominated by a heavy, overcast sky, resulting in soft, diffuse, and even illumination across the entire scene. This setup eliminates harsh direct shadows, making it ideal for scenes where neutral, cool-toned daylight is required. The composition includes small soccer goals and scattered trees, providing a naturalistic backdrop that integrates seamlessly into exterior renderings without needing complex manual lighting setups.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this HDR file directly into the environment slot of any major rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Arnold. Because it is an equirectangular projection, it maps perfectly onto a spherical dome or sky light. Adjust the rotation to align the diffuse light source with your camera angle, and use the exposure settings within your render software to fine-tune the intensity of the overcast sky for your specific project requirements.

This HDRI is well-suited for exterior residential projects, landscape architecture visualisations, and urban planning presentations where a natural, soft-lit atmosphere is preferred. It pairs effectively with modern residential architecture or recreational facility designs. Use this asset when you need consistent, shadow-free lighting for architectural walkthroughs or high-quality still renders. Search for this file when looking for overcast sky conditions, suburban environments, or park-like settings for your site context, ensuring your final output maintains a realistic and balanced exposure throughout the scene.
