About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max daybed features a grey velvet tufted seat and a single backrest, complete with a houndstooth throw blanket. This low-profile daybed presents a clean, contemporary aesthetic defined by its deep, button-tufted upholstery. The seat cushion is expansive, providing a generous surface area, while the single backrest is positioned to one side, offering support without enclosing the entire frame. The velvet fabric displays a subtle, mottled grey texture, enhancing the depth of the tufting. A small houndstooth-patterned throw is draped over the backrest, adding a classic contrast to the minimalist form of the base. The entire assembly sits on a recessed, dark-toned plinth that creates a slight floating effect.

The download is a 12.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is structured for efficient scene integration as a single object or component. Users should verify that the pivot point is set to the base for easy placement on floor planes. The velvet material uses standard texture mapping, which can be adjusted in the Slate Material Editor to suit specific lighting conditions. It is recommended to check the scale against standard interior dimensions before merging into a larger project file to ensure proper spatial proportions.

This daybed functions well as a focal point in luxury residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, or modern lounge areas. It pairs naturally with minimalist coffee tables or as an accent piece in a master bedroom suite. Designers often search for this type of low-slung seating when planning open-plan living spaces where sightlines must remain unobstructed. It is suitable for high-end interior visualizations, providing a tactile, sophisticated element that complements neutral palettes and textured finishes in contemporary design schemes.
