About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa in grey velvet for 3ds Max features subtle brass armrest detailing and an assortment of scatter cushions. The sofa features a clean-lined, blocky silhouette upholstered in a soft grey velvet fabric. Its primary form is defined by a low-profile backrest and deep, generous seating cushions. The standout design element is the slender, curved brass frame visible at the external edges of the armrests, which adds a refined metallic contrast to the textile finish. Included are six scatter cushions in a mix of solid grey tones and a contrasting brown-and-white checkered pattern, providing texture and visual depth to the overall composition. The proportions suggest a focus on comfort and modern minimalism.

The download is a 44.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layering for easy selection of the main sofa body, individual seat cushions, and the decorative scatter pillows. Users should check the scale upon insertion to ensure it aligns with standard interior dimensions. The velvet material uses a falloff or anisotropy map to simulate fabric sheen, which can be adjusted via the material editor. Lighting setups should focus on highlighting the brass details to accentuate the metallic reflection against the matte velvet surface.

This piece is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and contemporary lounge areas. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or low-profile area rugs to ground a seating arrangement. Designers searching for luxury residential furniture, velvet upholstery, or modern 3-seater sofa assets will find this model useful for architectural visualisations and interior design projects. It is particularly effective in scenes requiring a sophisticated, tactile element that contrasts soft textiles with hard metal finishes in a neutral, curated space.
