Contemporary Dark Brown Leather Tub Armchair

This contemporary tub armchair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a compact, rounded silhouette upholstered in a dark brown leather finish. Defined by its continuous, sweeping back and armrest profile, this tub armchair offers a clean, architectural form suitable for refined interiors. The seat and backrest are integrated into a single, cohesive shell, providing a structured yet comfortable seating experience. The upholstery is rendered in a dark brown leather, which highlights the chair's smooth, minimalist curves and tight seams. The base continues the aesthetic, forming solid, flared side panels that transition seamlessly from the armrests to the floor. Its proportions are balanced, making it an ideal choice for both intimate seating arrangements and professional lounge settings.

The download is a 82.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max model into a scene, users can easily snap the geometry to floor planes for precise placement. The material mapping is designed to handle standard lighting setups, with the leather texture responding well to specular and reflection passes. Designers should ensure the pivot point is aligned at the floor level for efficient rotation and scaling. The clean topology allows for straightforward material overrides or adjustments to the leather's glossiness and bump maps to match the specific requirements of a project's render engine.
