Contemporary Grey Rattan Lounge Chair with Terracotta Cushion

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a curved rattan frame and a soft grey seat cushion with a terracotta accent pillow. Defined by its fluid, continuous silhouette, this lounge chair is constructed from vertically aligned natural rattan reeds that form both the backrest and the base. The frame flows in a smooth arc, creating a structural yet lightweight aesthetic. A plush, grey upholstered seat pad provides comfort, complemented by a rectangular throw cushion in a contrasting terracotta hue with a subtle geometric pattern. The open-frame design emphasises transparency, making it an ideal piece for interiors that balance natural textures with modern, clean lines. Its proportions are low and relaxed, intended for casual seating arrangements.

The download is a 10.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your project and ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the floor plane. The rattan geometry is detailed, so apply a high-quality wood texture with a clear coat map to capture the natural sheen of the material. Use a standard light setup to highlight the depth of the vertical reed structure. Adjust the cushion fabric shaders to ensure realistic light absorption and soft-touch surface characteristics within your preferred rendering environment.

This lounge chair is well-suited for relaxed residential living areas, sunrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies where a natural, tactile aesthetic is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or can be placed in pairs for a cohesive seating group. Search for this asset when specifying furniture for projects requiring a blend of artisan craft and contemporary form, particularly in tropical, bohemian, or wabi-sabi interior design schemes. It serves as an excellent accent piece for creating inviting, texture-rich reading nooks or conservatory spaces.
