Contemporary Grey Marble Rectangular Reception Desk

This contemporary rectangular reception desk for SketchUp features a monolithic block form finished in a polished grey marble veneer. This reception desk is defined by its clean, rectilinear geometry, presenting as a solid block. The entire exterior surface is clad in a detailed grey marble texture, showcasing complex veining patterns that provide a luxury aesthetic. The design is minimalist, lacking visible hardware or complex ornamentation, which emphasises the natural beauty of the stone finish. The desk includes a recessed base detail, creating a subtle shadow line that gives the piece a slightly floating appearance. A sleek, integrated monitor setup is included on the work surface, completing the professional presentation of this unit.

The download is a 4.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this desk into a SketchUp model, use the component's internal axes to snap it precisely to floor plans or partition layouts. The model is organised with logical geometry, allowing users to apply custom materials or adjust the scale to fit specific lobby dimensions. Ensure the surface normals are oriented correctly for accurate light interaction, especially when applying high-resolution texture maps to the marble faces to achieve realistic reflections and depth in final renderings.

This piece is suitable for high-end corporate lobbies, boutique hotel reception areas, and luxury retail showrooms where a sophisticated first impression is required. It pairs well with modern glass partitions, metallic accents, and minimalist lounge seating. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of monolithic stone counter when specifying furniture for professional environments that demand a clean, uncluttered look. It is an ideal choice for projects focused on contemporary material palettes and refined, high-impact interior design solutions.
