Contemporary Grey Marble Reception Desk with Spherical Support

This contemporary SketchUp model features a monolithic grey marble reception desk supported by a singular, polished black sphere. The desk presents a sculptural, minimalist form defined by its heavy, rectangular marble slab top and base. The primary surface is finished in a grey veined marble, creating a solid, high-end aesthetic. Supporting the overhanging portion of the desk is a large, glossy black sphere that provides a stark geometric contrast to the natural stone texture. This combination of materials and shapes creates a balanced, architectural silhouette suitable for high-end environments. The design is clean, avoiding unnecessary ornamentation to highlight the inherent quality of the stone and the precise, bold nature of the supporting sphere.

The download is a 61 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can import this SketchUp model directly into their project workspace using the standard component import method. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy placement within interior scenes. Designers should ensure the model is scaled correctly to match the project's floor-to-ceiling heights. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily adjusted or replaced to match specific project requirements. For realistic presentation, consider adding custom lighting to highlight the reflective properties of the polished black sphere and the subtle veining of the marble.
