Contemporary Grey Marble and Timber Reception Desk – Variant 5

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a grey marble facade paired with natural timber accents and a integrated bonsai planter. This L-shaped reception desk combines a substantial grey marble-clad front counter with a contrasting natural timber base and side return. The design incorporates a clean, monolithic aesthetic, with the marble surface showcasing prominent veining. A lower timber volume extends to the side, serving as a dedicated display plinth for a potted bonsai tree. The primary workspace is elevated, providing a concealed area for two computer monitors. The juxtaposition of the polished stone and the raw wood texture creates a sophisticated balance suitable for high-end corporate or boutique hospitality environments.

The download is a 27.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is organised into distinct components for the marble surfaces, timber base, and decorative elements. Users can easily adjust the scale or length of the desk by manipulating the main geometry groups. The material assignments are mapped for simple texture replacement, allowing designers to swap the marble finish for alternative stone or laminate options. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy toggling during floor plan development and interior lighting studies.

Ideal for professional reception areas, corporate lobbies, hotel front desks, and luxury retail showrooms, this piece serves as a central focal point. It pairs well with minimalist seating, acoustic wall panels, and architectural feature lighting. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset when specifying bespoke joinery for high-traffic entry spaces. Its neutral palette allows it to integrate seamlessly into diverse interior design schemes, from modern corporate offices to upscale wellness studios and boutique medical practices.
