Contemporary Grey Leather Upholstered King Bed

This contemporary SketchUp model features a grey leather king bed with a tufted headboard and integrated platform frame design. This king-sized platform bed is defined by its low-profile frame and extensive upholstery. The headboard and surrounding side rails are finished in a charcoal grey leather, featuring a classic button-tufted detail that provides a rhythmic, geometric texture. The bed is designed as a cohesive unit where the upholstered frame extends beyond the mattress perimeter, creating a substantial, grounded silhouette. Included in the model are realistic bedding elements, such as pillows and a layered duvet, which maintain the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the piece while adding a sense of lived-in comfort.

The download is a 126 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured as a group or component, allowing for easy placement and alignment against bedroom walls or within architectural floor plans. Users should utilise the outliner to manage the geometry, separating the bedding from the upholstered frame for easier material adjustments or texture mapping. The file is optimised for standard rendering workflows, where applying custom leather bump maps to the tufted surfaces will enhance the realism of the highlights and shadows in final visualisations.

Ideal for high-end residential master bedrooms, luxury hotel suites, and contemporary interior design projects, this bed serves as a strong focal point. It pairs well with dark wood nightstands, minimalist floor lamps, and textured area rugs to complete a sophisticated sleeping environment. Professionals seeking a modern, masculine, or boutique-hotel aesthetic will find this asset suitable for staging photorealistic bedroom renders, particularly when aiming for a refined, monochromatic, or moody interior palette in architectural presentations or client mood boards.
