About this asset

This contemporary grey lacquered wood cabinet, modelled in 3ds Max, features a balanced multi-door configuration with a central open display niche. This storage unit presents a clean, contemporary aesthetic defined by its matte grey finish and structured panelled doors. The design incorporates a symmetrical arrangement of upper and lower cupboards flanking a central rectangular open niche, providing a mix of concealed and exposed storage. Each door is framed with a subtle profile, adding depth to the flat surfaces. Small, minimalist hardware accents the doors, while the internal surfaces of the open section are finished in a lighter, contrasting tone, creating a refined visual focus suitable for high-end interior joinery.

The download is a 2.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this unit into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned to the wall surface for easy placement. The object is structured with logical geometry, allowing for simple texture mapping of the lacquered finish. Users should manage the cabinet as a single block or group to maintain scene organisation, adjusting material properties to suit specific lighting conditions within the viewport. The clean topology facilitates quick integration into larger interior architectural visualisations or custom joinery design projects.

This versatile cabinet serves as an ideal solution for modern residential living rooms, home offices, or study areas requiring integrated storage. It functions effectively as a feature wall unit or a sophisticated display cabinet for books and decorative objects. Professionals searching for bespoke-style millwork or modular joinery will find this asset fits seamlessly into contemporary interior schemes.
