About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a sculptural grey fabric design with a unique cylindrical backrest and circular seat. Defined by its geometric composition, this lounge chair features a circular seat cushion supported by four cylindrical legs. A horizontal, tube-like backrest provides structural support, complemented by a singular decorative sphere resting on the seat surface. The entire frame and cushions are finished in a uniform grey fabric, creating a soft, monochromatic aesthetic. The proportions are low-slung, prioritising a sculptural silhouette over traditional ergonomic forms. All elements, from the cylindrical base components to the rounded backrest, maintain a consistent, minimalist design language suitable for curated interior spaces.

The download is a 14.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can incorporate this 3ds Max model into scenes by merging the asset into the primary project file. The geometry is organised for easy selection and scaling, with material IDs assigned to the fabric components for efficient texture mapping or shader adjustments. Standard lighting setups, including HDRI environments, will effectively highlight the soft, diffuse qualities of the fabric finish. Ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the floor plane for accurate placement within interior layouts.

This lounge chair is ideal for contemporary living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in residential projects. Its distinct, artistic profile makes it a strong statement piece for modern design schemes. Architects and interior designers might place this in a gallery-style space or a minimalist lounge area, pairing it with low-profile coffee tables or abstract floor lamps. Search for this piece when specifying sculptural seating for high-end residential, hospitality, or creative office environments.
