About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric 3-seater sofa for 3ds Max features a distinct tufted seat base and a low-profile, minimalist silhouette. Defined by a deep, expansive seat structure, this 3-seater sofa showcases a grid-tufted upholstery pattern across the entire seating surface. The design incorporates two primary seat cushions paired with two large, loose back pillows and elongated, rectangular armrests that sit atop the main frame. Its low-slung profile is supported by a slender, dark metal base, providing a subtle floating appearance. The fabric upholstery appears soft and matte, contrasting with the structured, geometric lines of the tufted base. This piece balances generous proportions with a clean, understated aesthetic suitable for modern interiors.

The download is an 18 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max project, ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer for easy management. The tufted geometry may require careful subdivision if close-up camera angles are planned. Material mapping is straightforward, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric texture or colour within the material editor. Use standard lighting setups to capture the depth of the tufting, and consider applying a subtle displacement or bump map to enhance the fabric weave realism during final rendering.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive lounges, this sofa serves as a central anchor piece in contemporary seating arrangements. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and floor lamps. Professionals looking for a versatile piece for high-end apartment staging or modern hospitality design will find this model effective for establishing a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.
