Contemporary Grey Fabric Tub Armchair with Herringbone Throw

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a curved tub-style silhouette upholstered in grey fabric with a draped herringbone throw. This tub-style armchair features a continuous, rounded backrest and seat shell, providing a compact and ergonomic profile. The upholstery is a soft, neutral grey fabric, complemented by slender, tapered metal legs finished in a dark, matte tone. A distinctive element of this model is the included textile throw, which features a monochrome herringbone pattern and is draped naturally over the back and seat. The integration of the throw adds a layer of realistic texture and visual softness to the clean lines of the chair's structural design, making it a versatile accent piece.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single object with the throw integrated into the seat geometry. Users should check the modifier stack for any active smoothing or subdivision levels to manage polygon counts effectively. The fabric materials are assigned using standard texture maps, which can be adjusted or replaced to match specific project colour palettes. The chair is scaled to standard lounge height, allowing for quick placement within scenes using basic snapping tools or alignment scripts for precise positioning.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks, this armchair serves as a functional accent piece. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for smaller floor plans where space is at a premium. Designers often specify such pieces for contemporary interior schemes that balance clean, minimalist lines with soft, tactile textures. When searching for this asset, professionals typically look for terms like upholstered tub chair, lounge accent seating, or modern armchair with throw to populate residential and commercial interior visualizations.
