Contemporary Grey Fabric Modular Tufted Sofa

This contemporary modular sofa is a 3ds Max model featuring grey tufted fabric upholstery, a low-profile silhouette, and a contrasting tan cushion. Characterised by its low-slung, boxy profile, this modular sofa offers a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The seating surface features deep button tufting, creating a textured, plush appearance across the expansive cushions. A single square cushion in a warm tan tone provides a subtle colour contrast against the neutral grey upholstery. The frame is minimal and sits close to the floor, emphasising the horizontal lines of the piece. A draped, patterned throw blanket is included, adding a layer of casual realism to the overall composition of this comfortable, wide-seated furniture design.

The download is a 19.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the floor plane for accurate placement within your scene. The modular nature allows for easy scaling or duplication to create larger sectional configurations. Manage the fabric textures using the standard material editor, ensuring tiling is consistent across the tufted surfaces. If rendering with high-end engines, adjust the displacement maps on the tufting to capture the depth of the fabric folds effectively under your chosen lighting setup.

Ideal for residential living rooms, high-end hotel lounges, or modern office breakout areas, this sofa serves as a versatile anchor for interior design schemes. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and neutral wall palettes. Architects and visualisers often search for such low-profile, modular seating when styling open-plan spaces, waiting areas, or contemporary apartment interiors where a balance between comfort and structured, geometric form is required for a sophisticated, inviting atmosphere in professional 3D renders.
