About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric modular sofa set for 3ds Max features a matching armchair, two coffee tables, and textile accessories. This modular lounge composition centers around a low-profile, grey fabric sofa featuring clean, blocky lines and comfortable deep seating. It is accessorized with various scatter cushions and a draped throw blanket in a plaid pattern. Accompanying the sofa is a single curved-back armchair upholstered in a warm, muted brown fabric, providing a subtle contrast to the primary seating. The set is completed by two distinct coffee tables: one round with a light wood-effect surface on thin metal legs, and a smaller square table with a white marble-look top.

The download is a 119 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 4 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this set into a 3ds Max scene, standard practice involves importing the group as a single assembly to maintain relative positioning. Users should check the individual object layers to ensure proper material assignment and texture mapping, particularly for the fabric and wood finishes. The pivot points are generally centered at the base, allowing for easy placement on floor planes. For lighting, consider using an HDRI environment map to capture the subtle reflections on the metal table legs and the fabric textures.

Ideal for residential living room scenes, this versatile set works well in open-plan apartments or sophisticated hotel lounge areas. It pairs naturally with neutral interior palettes and contemporary decor styles. Professionals can use this collection to quickly populate interior renders, searching for terms like modular lounge group, contemporary living room furniture, or fabric sofa set. The neutral aesthetic makes it highly adaptable for various project stages, from initial concept visualisations to final high-end architectural marketing imagery where a lived-in, realistic look is required.
