About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric modular sofa is a SketchUp model featuring a low-profile, tufted design with an integrated throw blanket. This low-profile modular sofa features a linear, geometric form with deep button-tufted upholstery across the seat and backrest cushions. The design consists of a wide, multi-section base that allows for a sprawling, lounge-oriented aesthetic. The upholstery is a soft, matte grey fabric, complemented by a single square scatter cushion and a textured, herringbone-patterned throw blanket draped over the central section. The sofa lacks visible legs, sitting directly on the floor to maintain a grounded, minimalist silhouette. The proportions are wide and elongated, suitable for large open-plan living areas or lounge settings.

The download is a 16 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy selection and repositioning of individual modules if required. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer or tag to manage visibility during the design process. The fabric textures are mapped with standard UV coordinates, making it straightforward to swap materials or adjust the scale of the bump maps to suit specific lighting conditions or interior render requirements within the native interface or external rendering plugins.

Ideal for residential living rooms, high-end hotel lobbies, and contemporary lounge spaces, this sofa provides a grounded, comfortable focal point. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, low-profile media consoles, and neutral interior palettes. Professionals often search for modular seating solutions that offer a relaxed, informal atmosphere while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. This piece is particularly effective in large-scale interior visualisations where a sense of comfort and scale is required to define the seating zone within an open-plan room layout.
