About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric lounge chair for 3ds Max features a sleek, curved silhouette and a minimalist black metal base. Defined by a deep, curved shell and soft, rounded armrests, this lounge chair offers a comfortable, reclined posture. The seat is fully upholstered in a textured grey fabric that highlights the chair's organic, sweeping lines. A small, square accent cushion with a subtle check pattern is included, adding a layer of tactile interest. The entire assembly is supported by a slender, four-legged black metal frame that provides a stark, industrial contrast to the plush upholstery. Its balanced proportions make it a versatile piece for various interior styles, emphasizing both comfort and clean, modern geometry.

The download is a 14.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset, merge the 3ds Max file into your scene and ensure the unit scale matches your project requirements. The model is structured with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the chair and the accent cushion independently. Apply your preferred fabric materials to the upholstery maps to match your project's colour palette. For lighting, the chair responds well to soft, diffuse environments, which helps to accentuate the depth and texture of the fabric surface without creating harsh, distracting highlights.

This lounge chair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive breakout spaces where a relaxed yet sophisticated seating option is required. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables and modern floor lamps to create a quiet reading nook or a conversation area. Designers often specify this style of armchair for high-end interior projects looking to introduce soft shapes into more rigid, architectural spaces.
