About this asset

This contemporary L-shaped sectional sofa in 3ds Max features grey fabric upholstery, integrated walnut shelving, and a side table. This L-shaped modular sectional sofa combines clean-lined contemporary aesthetics with functional storage elements. The main seating modules are upholstered in a neutral grey fabric, complemented by three square back cushions and one accent cushion in a contrasting tone. A notable feature is the integrated walnut-finished wood frame that extends to create a side table surface and open storage shelving at the end of the chaise. The assembly rests on a slim, minimalist black metal leg structure that provides a lightweight, elevated appearance, balancing the substantial horizontal profile of the unit.

The download is a 101 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into your 3ds Max scene, use the file's native layer structure to manage the seating and shelving components separately. Ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned for snapping the sofa against walls or into room corners. You can easily adjust the material instances on the walnut surfaces or fabric textures to match your interior palette. For high-quality renders, apply realistic lighting setups that highlight the material contrast between the fabric's soft texture and the smooth, reflective finish of the wood.

This sectional is well-suited for open-plan living rooms, modern apartment lounges, or high-end hotel lobby seating areas. Its integrated side table and shelving make it a space-efficient choice for projects where additional surface area is required without adding separate furniture pieces. Designers often pair this sofa with low-profile coffee tables, area rugs, and ambient floor lamps.
