Contemporary Grey Fabric Double Layer Curtains

This contemporary SketchUp model features a set of double-layer grey and white fabric curtains with realistic vertical pleating. These curtains feature a sophisticated double-layer construction, combining a dense grey outer drape with a lighter white sheer inner layer. The fabric is modelled with soft, natural vertical folds and consistent pleating along the top header, suggesting a classic pinch-pleat or ripple-fold heading style. The geometry is clean and uniform, capturing the fluid drape of heavy textile material against a neutral background. This set provides a versatile window dressing solution, balancing light filtration with privacy through its layered composition, suitable for various interior design schemes requiring a touch of refined texture.

The download is a 12.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these curtains are provided as a grouped component for straightforward insertion. Users should place these at the top of window openings or ceiling tracks, scaling them vertically to match specific floor-to-ceiling heights if necessary. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for adjustments to transparency or colour in the material editor. For optimal results, ensure the faces are oriented correctly and apply a slight displacement or bump map to enhance the fabric's tactile quality in final renders.
