About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max dining chair features a grey fabric seat and black metal legs, offering a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The chair features a curved, upholstered backrest that flows into integrated armrests, creating a semi-enclosed seating profile. The seat is padded with a textured grey fabric, providing a soft contrast to the rigid, angular structure of the base. Four splayed legs, finished in a matte black metal, provide structural support and a distinct geometric silhouette. The proportions are balanced for standard dining or task applications, with the backrest cutout adding a subtle negative space detail that lightens the overall visual weight of the piece. It is a functional, versatile seating solution.

The download is a 1.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed via a standard layer structure, allowing for easy selection of the seat and base components. Users can apply custom fabric textures to the upholstery by modifying the diffuse and bump maps in the material editor. The pivot point is positioned at the base for efficient placement on floor surfaces. Ensure unit consistency when merging into larger scenes and consider adjusting the reflection settings on the metal legs to match specific lighting conditions within the project.

This chair is suitable for residential dining rooms, boutique hospitality settings, and modern office break-out areas.
