Contemporary Grey Fabric Bar Stool with Black Metal Legs

This contemporary grey fabric bar stool for SketchUp features a distinct cut-out backrest and slim, tapered black metal legs. This bar stool features a minimalist, curved shell upholstered in a textured grey fabric. The seat design incorporates a notable horizontal cut-out between the backrest and the seat cushion, providing an airy, lightweight aesthetic. It is supported by four slender, tapered legs finished in a matte black powder coat, which are braced by a simple integrated footrest. The proportions are balanced for standard kitchen island or bar counter heights, offering a clean, modern profile suitable for both residential breakfast nooks and commercial café environments where comfort and visual simplicity are prioritized.

The download is a 1.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp scene, use the native component import function to place the stool at your desired counter height. The model is organized with logical grouping, allowing for easy material replacement on the upholstery or metal components if required. Ensure the component axis is oriented correctly at the base for efficient snapping to floor planes. For high-quality visualisations, apply appropriate reflection and bump maps to the fabric texture to enhance the perceived depth of the weave during rendering.

This piece is ideal for interior design projects requiring sophisticated, understated seating for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, or high-top dining tables. It complements contemporary, minimalist, and transitional design schemes effectively. Professionals searching for 'upholstered bar stool', 'kitchen island seating', or 'modern café chair' will find this model a versatile addition to their library. It pairs well with stone or timber surfaces and works particularly well in open-plan living areas where sightlines remain unobstructed due to the stool's open-back design.
