About this asset

This contemporary stool for 3ds Max features a grey fabric seat cushion set within a structured tan leather frame with a pull tab. This compact, contemporary stool offers a clean, architectural silhouette. The design centres on a square, plush grey fabric cushion that sits slightly recessed within a rigid, tan leather-clad shell. The leather exterior provides a refined, textured finish, while the fabric seat ensures comfort. A small, functional leather pull tab is attached to the rear of the cushion, adding a subtle detail to the minimalist form. Its proportions are balanced, making it suitable for use as an occasional seat or a footrest in various interior settings, combining luxury materials with a functional, geometric aesthetic.

The download is a 2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection and material modification. Users can apply custom fabric or leather textures to the respective elements to match specific project colour palettes. The geometry is clean, supporting standard subdivision workflows if increased detail is required for close-up shots. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the stool for efficient placement on floor surfaces, and check that the scale is appropriately set to real-world units before merging into a scene.

This stool is ideal for high-end residential projects, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern executive offices. It works well as an accent piece in a living room, placed near a lounge chair or at the end of a bed. Designers often search for this type of versatile seating to fill awkward corners or to provide flexible extra space in a bedroom or dressing area. It pairs effectively with contemporary interior styles, enhancing the tactile quality of a room while maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive profile.
