About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features grey fabric upholstery and a distinctively curved wooden base detail. This 3-seater sofa presents a soft, rounded silhouette with a deep seat and integrated backrest. The frame is supported by a solid timber base, which wraps around the lower perimeter to provide a clean, anchored aesthetic. The upholstery is finished in a neutral charcoal grey fabric, providing a versatile base for the included scatter cushions. These accents introduce contrasting textures and vibrant tones, specifically teal and a mustard-patterned textile, alongside a solid black cushion. The overall proportions suggest a focus on comfort, suitable for relaxed lounge environments where soft, organic forms are preferred over rigid geometries.

The download is a 4.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for the easy isolation of the sofa frame from the scatter cushions. Users should verify the scale upon insertion to ensure it aligns with project-specific interior dimensions. The fabric textures are mapped to accommodate standard tiling, and the base material can be adjusted to match specific wood finishes in the scene. Lighting should be set up to highlight the subtle folds in the upholstery and the reflective quality of the base.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or upscale waiting areas, this sofa serves as a primary focal point in any seating arrangement. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or low-profile floor lamps to maintain a contemporary aesthetic. Professionals looking for a versatile piece for high-end interior visualisations will find this asset useful for staging modern apartment layouts, open-plan homes, or commercial lounge zones.
