About this asset

This contemporary round rug for SketchUp features a textured shag pile with a layered grey and yellow colour block pattern. Defined by its circular silhouette, this shag rug incorporates a sophisticated mix of grey and yellow tones. The surface texture is dense and long-piled, suggesting a high-pile or shaggy construction that provides visual and tactile warmth. One segment of the rug features a distinct striped motif, transitioning into a solid, softer pile area. The design focuses on geometric layering, making it a versatile floor covering for modern interiors. Its proportions are suited for central placement beneath coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a lounge area or bedroom setting.

The download is a 110 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this rug into a SketchUp model, use the native scaling tools to match your room dimensions before applying displacement or bump maps to represent the shag texture. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer to manage visibility effectively. For rendering, consider adjusting the material transparency or adding a slight fuzziness to the edges to enhance the realism of the pile. Keep the geometry clean by grouping the rug components to prevent interference with other scene elements during final composition.

This rug is ideal for contemporary residential living rooms, boutique hotel suites, or modern lounge areas where a focal point is required. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral flooring, adding texture without overwhelming the space. Professionals often search for this asset when styling interior renders for residential projects, apartment staging, or hospitality design. Its circular shape softens the angular lines of modern architecture, making it a valuable addition to any library of high-quality interior design assets and decorative elements.
