About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a double-layer fabric curtain set with a contrasting grey outer drape and a clean white inner layer. The asset presents a dual-layered curtain arrangement designed for full-height window coverage. It consists of a pair of dark grey, opaque outer panels paired with a lighter, sheer white inner panel. The fabric geometry is modelled with realistic vertical pleats and soft folds, suggesting a heavy-weight textile for the outer layer and a lighter, more translucent material for the interior. The drapes hang straight from a concealed track system, creating a clean, uniform aesthetic suitable for modern interiors where a layered window treatment is required to manage light and privacy effectively.

The download is a 10 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured as a component, allowing for easy scaling to match specific window widths and floor-to-ceiling heights. Users can apply custom materials or adjust the existing fabric textures via the materials tray to suit specific colour palettes. It is recommended to import this as a separate group to maintain scene organisation, ensuring the curtain geometry remains distinct from wall or window frame elements, which simplifies the application of lighting and shadow effects during the final rendering process.

These curtains are essential for residential bedroom or living room visualisations where a layered, soft-furnishing aesthetic is desired. They pair well with minimalist or contemporary interior styles, providing a grounded, tactile element against hard surfaces like glazing or timber flooring. Professionals searching for drapery assets for hotel suites, high-end residential projects, or staging will find this model versatile. It is particularly useful for achieving a sense of scale and comfort in architectural renders, helping to soften the overall composition of a space.
