Contemporary Dark Wood Armchair Set

This contemporary dark wood armchair set for SketchUp features a minimalist, open-back aesthetic with clean lines and a refined silhouette. The armchair exhibits a balanced, contemporary design defined by its dark-stained timber construction. Featuring a distinct open-back geometry with a singular vertical slat, the chair offers a lightweight yet structural appearance. The seat is gently contoured for ergonomic comfort, while the integrated arms flow seamlessly into the rear uprights. Its proportions are slender, making it suitable for compact dining areas or as an accent piece in a lounge. The joinery is clean and understated, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain the primary focus of the piece.

The download is a 4.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into distinct components for easy manipulation and placement. Users should utilise the native layer system to manage visibility if incorporating the chairs into larger furniture layouts. The wood texture is mapped to provide a realistic finish, which can be easily adjusted using the material editor to match specific project colour palettes. Scaling the component is straightforward, though maintaining the original proportions is recommended to preserve the intended aesthetic balance within your interior scene.

These armchairs are ideal for modern dining rooms, upscale cafe interiors, or refined home office environments. Their neutral, dark-toned aesthetic pairs well with marble dining tables or minimalist timber sideboards. Professionals often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for high-end residential projects or hospitality spaces requiring a sophisticated, understated look. Whether used as a pair for a small breakfast nook or grouped as a set for a larger dining table, they provide a versatile solution for contemporary interior design.
