About this asset

This contemporary dark brown wood corner bookshelf for 3ds Max features an L-shaped footprint with integrated open shelving units. Designed for corner placement, this shelving unit features a clean, contemporary aesthetic with a deep brown wood finish. The structure consists of two perpendicular wings that meet at a sharp exterior corner, though the interior shelving maintains a softer, curved transition. One side is fully open with tiered shelving, while the other side is partially enclosed by a glass-fronted section. The unit is styled with various decorative objects, including small sculptures, boxes, and vases, providing a realistic sense of scale and utility for interior design visualisations.

The download is a 13.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your project and adjust the pivot point for correct corner alignment. The textures are mapped to the wood grain, allowing for easy material adjustment via the slate material editor. Ensure the glass elements are assigned appropriate refraction and reflection parameters to maintain realism. The object is organised by logical components, making it straightforward to toggle the decorative accessories on or off depending on the specific project requirements.

This corner bookshelf is ideal for residential living rooms, home libraries, or professional executive offices where floor space is at a premium. It serves as a functional focal point for displaying books, personal artifacts, or high-end decor. Designers typically place this in corners to soften room transitions or as part of a larger built-in wall unit assembly. It pairs well with modern seating arrangements and minimalist interior styles, providing a grounded, architectural element that anchors the room's overall composition and storage strategy.
