Contemporary Dark Brown Leather Modular Sofa with Throw

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a modular dark brown leather frame with a tufted finish, complete with decorative cushions. Defined by its block-like modular construction, this contemporary sofa is upholstered in a deep, dark brown leather. The entire piece, including the low-profile backrest and integrated armrests, is segmented into a consistent grid of tufted squares, creating a structured yet plush appearance. Included in the set are two scatter cushions with patterned fabric covers and a folded throw blanket draped across the seat. The proportions are low and deep, intended for lounge environments where comfort and a clean, geometric silhouette are required. The overall build is solid, with a heavy, grounded aesthetic.

The download is a 36.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed through a clean layer structure, keeping the main sofa frame, cushions, and throw as separate objects for easy material adjustment. The leather texture is mapped to follow the tufted geometry, and users should ensure the UVW maps are scaled correctly if applying custom leather or fabric shaders. Lighting should be set to highlight the depth of the tufting, typically using a soft area light setup to capture the highlights on the leather surface.

This sofa is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern lounge areas. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables and textured area rugs to balance the dark, structured leather. When searching for this type of asset, professionals often look for terms like modular lounge seating, tufted leather sofa, or contemporary living room furniture. Its neutral dark tone makes it a versatile choice for both masculine interiors and sophisticated, moody design schemes in architectural visualisation projects.
