About this asset

This contemporary brown velvet tub armchair 3ds Max model features a curved, enveloping backrest and slim, tapered metal legs. This tub-style armchair is defined by its continuous, rounded backrest that seamlessly transitions into integrated armrests. The piece is upholstered in a rich, textured brown velvet, which highlights its soft, organic silhouette. A subtle vertical seam detail runs down the centre of the backrest, adding structure to the otherwise fluid form. The seat cushion is integrated into the frame, maintaining a clean, minimalist profile. The chair is supported by four slender, tapered legs finished in a dark, matte metal, providing a sharp contrast to the plush, soft-touch fabric of the upholstery.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical naming conventions for easy scene management. The upholstery and leg components are separated into distinct objects, allowing for quick material adjustments or colour variations. Users can easily apply custom fabric textures to the velvet surface using standard UV mapping. The model’s pivot point is located at the base of the legs, ensuring straightforward placement on floor planes. Lighting setups should focus on highlighting the reflective qualities of the velvet fabric for a realistic finish.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas, this armchair provides a sophisticated seating option. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a reading nook. Professionals searching for a compact, comfortable lounge chair will find this asset suitable for high-end interior visualisations. Its neutral yet deep colour palette integrates seamlessly into modern, luxury-focused design schemes, complementing both dark wood finishes and metallic interior accents in various architectural project stages.
