Contemporary Brown Leather and Black Acrylic Armchair

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a low-profile armchair with a curved black acrylic shell, brown leather seat, and metal sled base. Defined by its bold, sculptural silhouette, this armchair combines a high-gloss black acrylic outer shell with a deep, tufted brown leather seat cushion. The chair sits on a minimalist metal sled-style base that provides a distinct contrast to the heavy, rounded upper form. Its compact, low-slung profile creates a grounded aesthetic, while the wrap-around backrest offers a cohesive, enclosed seating experience. The material transition between the smooth, reflective acrylic and the textured, soft-touch leather highlights a sophisticated play on light and shadow, suitable for high-end interior compositions.

The download is a 7.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, use the file to populate lounge areas or feature corners. Ensure the material IDs for the acrylic and leather are correctly mapped to your preferred renderer upon import. The object is scaled for standard residential seating heights, though users should verify dimensions against their project floor plans. Manage the high-gloss reflective properties of the shell through appropriate environment lighting or HDRI setups to capture the intended material finish accurately within your final render.

This piece functions as a statement element in modern living rooms, luxury hotel lobbies, or private reading nooks. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as a solitary accent chair in a boutique showroom setting. Architects and visualisers searching for avant-garde furniture or sculptural lounge seating will find this asset fits well in high-concept residential projects. It is best used in scenes where a distinctive, mid-century-inspired contemporary aesthetic is required to break up linear room geometry.
