About this asset

This contemporary brown fabric cube stool for SketchUp features a distinct vertical ribbed aesthetic with soft rounded edges. This compact stool presents a modern, geometric form defined by a series of four vertical, rounded-top segments. The entire piece is upholstered in a uniform, matte-textured brown fabric, creating a soft yet structured appearance suitable for contemporary interiors. Its square footprint and low profile make it a versatile seating option. The base is subtly recessed, providing a clean transition to the floor. The design relies on the repetition of the arched profiles to add visual interest, balancing its simple, boxy silhouette with refined, tactile detailing that feels both approachable and sophisticated.

The download is a 1.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this SketchUp model into your project, ensure the component is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility toggling. You can scale the object to suit specific spatial requirements, though maintaining its original proportions is recommended to preserve the integrity of the ribbed upholstery. Apply your preferred global lighting settings to allow the subtle surface shadows to define the vertical segments, enhancing the depth and realism of the fabric texture within your final render.

This stool serves as an excellent flexible seating solution in modern residential living rooms, walk-in closets, or high-end hotel suites. It functions well as a standalone accent piece or grouped in pairs to act as a coffee table alternative. Designers often pair this item with minimalist sofas or lounge chairs to introduce texture and warmth. Search for this piece when specifying modular furniture, low-profile ottomans, or contemporary accent seating for residential and hospitality projects where space-saving, stylish elements are required.
