About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features an armchair upholstered in blush fabric, supported by a sleek, dark grey metal frame. This compact armchair features a rounded, tub-style silhouette that provides a comfortable, enclosed seating experience. The seat and backrest are integrated into a single, continuous shell, upholstered in a textured, blush-toned fabric that adds a soft visual element to the design. The piece is elevated on four slender, splayed legs finished in a matte dark grey metal, creating a refined contrast against the soft upholstery. Its proportions are balanced for residential or commercial lounge areas, offering a clean, modern aesthetic that fits seamlessly into various interior design schemes without dominating the space.

The download is a 7.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised as a single component for easy selection and placement within your scene. The geometry is clean, with materials applied as standard textures that can be easily edited or replaced via the Materials panel. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for better scene management. If rendering, check the normals to ensure the fabric texture displays correctly under your chosen light setup, and adjust the metal leg material properties to match your project's specific reflectivity requirements.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, and contemporary office breakout spaces. It works effectively as an accent piece in a quiet reading corner or paired in sets for more formal seating arrangements. Designers often search for this type of compact, upholstered tub chair when looking to add a touch of colour to neutral palettes. It pairs naturally with minimalist side tables and soft rugs, making it a versatile choice for both modern and eclectic interior design projects.
