Contemporary Blue Velvet Dark Wood Armchair

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a deep blue velvet upholstery set within a dark stained, sculpted solid wood frame. Defined by its sleek, sculptural aesthetic, this armchair features a refined dark-stained timber frame with distinctively tapered legs. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a rich, deep blue velvet, providing a soft contrast to the rigid geometry of the wood structure. The design employs a minimalist approach, with the wooden frame wrapping around the upholstered elements to create a clean, integrated profile. The backrest is slightly reclined for comfort, while the armrests are formed by the extension of the frame, resulting in a cohesive and balanced silhouette suitable for sophisticated interior spaces.

The download is a 4.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with clear layer separation between the timber frame and the fabric cushions, allowing for independent material adjustments. Users should apply a standard fabric shader with subtle anisotropic reflections to capture the velvet texture effectively. The wood components are mapped with a dark, matte finish, which can be easily adjusted via the material editor to match specific project requirements. The model is scaled to real-world units, making it straightforward to drop into any architectural scene or interior visualisation project.
