About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a vibrant blue velvet seat, a sleek grey frame with gold metal accents, and a throw cushion. This single-seater armchair is defined by its clean, curved lines and refined material palette. The seat is upholstered in a soft, bright blue velvet, providing a bold contrast to the matte grey metal frame that forms the backrest and arm supports. Decorative gold-tone metal caps accent the joints where the armrests meet the frame, with matching gold ferrules at the base of the legs. The piece includes a rectangular throw cushion featuring a cream and beige fabric with a central Greek key pattern, adding a subtle geometric detail to the overall composition.

The download is a 3.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming for efficient scene management. The upholstery and metallic components are assigned distinct material IDs, allowing for easy adjustment of texture maps or shaders. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for simple placement on floor planes. For optimal results, apply a smoothing modifier if necessary and verify that the UV mapping is scaled correctly to maintain the velvet's nap direction and the sharpness of the metallic finishes during final rendering.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern lounge areas. It functions effectively as a standalone accent piece or as part of a larger seating arrangement when paired with complementary coffee tables and soft rugs. Designers often specify this style for projects requiring a blend of comfort and sophisticated detailing.
