Contemporary Blue Fabric Dining Chair with Dark Wood Legs

This contemporary blue fabric dining chair SketchUp model features a distinct open-back design supported by tapered dark wood legs. This contemporary dining chair features a curved, upholstered backrest and seat finished in a deep blue fabric. The design includes a notable open gap between the seat and backrest, which lightens the visual profile of the piece. It is supported by four slim, tapered legs crafted from dark-stained wood, splayed slightly outwards for stability and aesthetic balance. The proportions are compact, making it suitable for smaller dining configurations or as an accent chair in a residential or office setting. The joinery between the seat and the wooden frame is clean and minimalist.

The download is a 4.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, ensure the component is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to manage model complexity. The texture mapping on the blue fabric is pre-applied, allowing for immediate placement within a scene. Users should verify that the axis is correctly aligned with the floor plane before grouping. If scaling is required to match specific table heights, maintain the aspect ratio of the wooden legs to preserve the intended design proportions and structural appearance of the chair.

This chair is well-suited for modern residential dining rooms, boutique café interiors, or informal meeting spaces within an office environment. Its neutral yet bold colour palette pairs effectively with light oak or walnut dining tables. Professionals searching for versatile seating options will find this piece useful for residential interior design, hospitality staging, or commercial fit-out visualisations. It complements minimalist and contemporary aesthetics, serving as a functional, space-efficient seating solution for various project stages, from initial concept renders to final interior presentation documents.
