Contemporary Blue Fabric and Black Metal Daybed

This contemporary 3ds Max daybed features a deep blue fabric cushion, a black metal mesh backrest, and a sturdy natural wood base frame. Designed for lounging, this daybed combines a minimalist aesthetic with functional material contrasts. The base is constructed from natural wood, providing a warm foundation for the sleek, dark elements above. A thick, rectangular cushion upholstered in a deep blue fabric rests on the frame, offering comfort. The backrest is defined by a black metal frame containing an integrated fine mesh screen, which slopes downward to create a dynamic, asymmetrical profile. This piece balances structured geometric lines with soft upholstery, making it a versatile addition to modern interior spaces requiring a distinct, low-profile seating solution.

The download is an 8.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this daybed is managed as a single geometry group or component. Users should verify the pivot point at the base for easy placement on floor planes. Materials for the fabric, metal mesh, and wood frame are assigned to distinct material IDs, allowing for quick adjustments to texture maps or colour tints. The model is scaled for standard interior dimensions, but users should confirm alignment with room floor levels upon insertion into the scene for accurate shadow casting.

This daybed is suited for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, or sophisticated hotel lobbies where a statement piece is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables, floor lamps, or neutral-toned area rugs to define a relaxation zone. Professional designers often search for this type of asset when specifying furniture for contemporary apartments or boutique hospitality projects. It serves as an excellent focal point in open-plan layouts, providing both visual interest and practical seating without obstructing sightlines within the room.
