Contemporary Black Slatted Sliding Door Wardrobe

This contemporary black sliding-door wardrobe for SketchUp features horizontal slatted panels and integrated internal shelf lighting. This wardrobe unit features a clean-lined rectangular frame finished in a matte black tone. The primary design element is the pair of sliding doors constructed from slender horizontal slats, which provide a semi-transparent aesthetic that partially obscures the interior while maintaining a lightweight appearance. Inside, the configuration includes open shelving and hanging rails, complemented by integrated LED strip lighting recessed into the shelf edges to highlight the contents. The overall construction suggests a mix of metal for the frame and slatted doors with wood or composite panels for the internal carcass.

The download is a 20.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured with grouped geometry, allowing for easy placement and alignment against bedroom walls. The sliding doors are typically managed as separate components, enabling users to animate or reposition them for interior views. Apply materials to the primary surfaces to match project finishes, and ensure the integrated light components are placed on a dedicated layer for efficient control when setting up scene lighting or rendering exports for client presentations.

Ideally suited for high-end residential bedrooms, luxury hotel suites, and dressing rooms, this wardrobe brings a modern, sophisticated aesthetic to interior storage solutions. It pairs well with minimalist bedroom furniture, dark-toned interior palettes, and contemporary lighting schemes. Professionals should look for this piece when specifying storage for boutique apartments or master suites where the visual impact of the slatted doors adds texture to a room. It is a versatile choice for both walk-in closet designs and free-standing bedroom storage applications.
